I Know Where Monkey's Sleep

Mother;
relentless caregiver.
Protecting her brood,
breathing through tearful independence.
She-wolf.

Father;
passive instructor.
Giving unwanted wisdom,
happy in his ignorance of us.
Bear-cub.

Sister;
false entertainer.
Providing a family smokescreen,
yearning for fairy tale orgasms.
Whooping-crane.

Brother;
unabashed adventurer.
Lighting sinful paths,
prideful loyalty for wards.
Monkey-king.

Family;
bitter happiness.
Something we choose,
determined by our affections.

A den.
A cave.
A nest.
A home.
